The small print about the small files

What are cookies?

Cookies are tiny text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all, others are there to help us understand how the site is being used.

We keep this simple: nothing optional runs until you say yes. No advertising cookies, no profiling, and nothing that follows you around other websites.

Cookies we always use

These are strictly necessary for the website to function, so they don't require your consent.

Analytics โ€” only with your consent

If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people enjoy. It's aggregate numbers, not a file on you. Until you accept, the Google script is never downloaded and nothing is sent to Google.

Advertising and personalisation are switched off, so Google may not use this data to target ads at you. More detail is in Google's own cookie notice.

reCAPTCHA on the contact form

Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to keep spam bots out. It only runs on that page, and it's there purely to protect the form from abuse. Google's handling of that data is covered by their privacy policy.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice whenever you like โ€” open cookie settings and pick again. If you switch to essentials only, we delete the analytics cookies straight away.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop parts of the site from working properly.
